Over 80% of Russians Familiar with Cryptocurrency, Survey Reveals

A recent study by Sber Analytics, the research division of Russia's largest bank, indicates that 83% of Russians are aware of cryptocurrency. The findings suggest strong public support for the legalization of digital assets in the country.

Anatoly Popov, deputy chairman of Sberbank's management board, highlighted the demand for regulated crypto solutions. "43% of respondents familiar with cryptocurrency express interest in secure, legal Russian crypto wallets," he stated at the 'FI Day. AI & Blockchain' conference.

The survey reveals 24% of respondents already own cryptocurrency wallets, while 33% plan to acquire one. Only 5% report regular usage, pointing to untapped market potential.
